About contributions

The Richmond Public Library Foundation relies on private and corporate donors to accomplish its mission of providing resources and financial support to the Library. If you make a gift to the RPLF, be assured that it will be used for the purpose you specify on the donor form (below).

You may donate either by mailing a check (please use the donor form), or on-line using your credit card.

The work of the RPLF is conducted entirely by volunteers so our operating expenses are quite low. Less than 10% of contributions are used to cover those expenses: postage, printing, web site hosting, mail box fees, and the like.

When you send us a donation we will promptly send you a thank you letter, acknowledging your gift and the purpose you may have specified. Donations to the RPLF are tax deductible under 501(c)(3) of the Federal Tax Code. Our tax ID number is 45-0539042. Prospective donors may request a copy of our tax exemption letter.

We will not sell or trade your name and address to any other organization. We do not employ commercial fund raising services.

This form is presented here for your inspection. If you'd like to send a contribution, please fill out this mail-in form and include it with your check. That assures that we receive all the information needed to properly account and acknowledge your gift.

Purpose (please check one)
Unrestricted gift	You may direct your gift to the Library without specifying the particular usage. We encourage this option because it gives the Foundation and the Library maximum flexibility.
Second Century Club Indicate pledge amount: ___ $100 ___ $250 ___ $500 ___ $1,000	We ask donors to pledge this amount each year for 5 years. Donations fund purchase of books, media, and digital resources that support business and foster students' academic achievement.
Richmond, yes!	Funds support the construction of a new library at Civic Center Plaza.
