From clay tablets to computers
Forms of literacy have changed enormously over time. Yet the essential functions of libraries remain: to expand people's access to information, to broaden the opportunities that come with knowledge.
The Richmond Public Library Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that those opportunities continue to grow, even through times of economic uncertainty. Beginning with its establishment as a California nonprofit corporation in 2004, the RPLF has been steadily building an endowment to fulfill that mission. (More...)
This endowment grows through the generosity of private and corporate donors. Through contributions large and small. But most of all, through contributions from people like you.
Every donation to the RPLF is an investment in the future of our community, its people and its businesses. If you agree, then we encourage you to make an unrestricted donation, perhaps through one of our planned giving options. A gift to the Second Century Club funds the purchase of books and other materials that support local business and students' achievment. Donations to Richmond, yes!, our capital campaign, are dedicated to the expansion of Library facilities.
